Mil-tek Waste Solutions to talk rubbish at QMan

Mil-tek Waste Solutions will showcase eco-friendly rubbish removal on Stand 1706 during the 2008 Queensland Manufacturing Technology Exhibition (QMan) at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from October 21-23.

Mil-tek is an international supplier of waste management solutions. It offers integrated waste management solutions, from recycling to providing waste baling equipment.

A recent trend in rubbish removal is the replacement of skips or bins with baling machines, which means that rubbish can be reduced and recycled in most states.
Mil-tek buys waste in a baled format, which encourages businesses to separate waste streams for effective recycling to reduce the rubbish they produce. Mil-tek’s baling machines compact cardboard, plastic, paper, polystyrene, mixed waste, cans and drums.

According to the company, businesses are not only becoming more eco-friendly by reducing the waste going to landfill, but also significantly reducing their skip costs.
Mil-tek has introduced a new energy-efficient Eco Drive system into its eight models of air-operated baling machines, which reduces the amount of power needed to operate them.

Tests show the new technology increases efficiency by up to 60% during the compression of cardboard and plastic waste.

The company is focused on setting the trend in the waste management industry by influencing attitudes and behaviours of its clients to become more eco-friendly by educating them about the responsible disposal, reduction and avoidance of waste streams.
